Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Operations (FinOps): Oversee financial operations, including managing our third-party supplier - Novabook.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance - Manage year-end accounts and tax submissions, including R&D tax credits.
- Performance reporting:
- Prepare monthly reporting packs (Management Accounts, Board Reports, KPI Reporting).
- Conduct revenue and margin analysis and product/client profitability reporting.
- Oversee cloud reporting and cost management.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and track the annual budget, providing insights to senior leadership.
- Payments & Collections: Process payment runs, oversee debt collection, and ensure smooth cash flow management.
- Equity and Share Management: Administer share options and work with external advisors on EMI valuations and ERS returns.
- International Finance: Coordinate with external advisors for tax filings and financial compliance in Canada and the USA.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Report directly to the Leadership Team, Board, and Shareholders.
- Foster a positive, high-engagement finance culture within the organisation.
- Take ownership of financial processes and drive strategic improvements.

About you
- Experience in SaaS or Gaming industry, ideally in a company that has scaled from £10m to £50m.
- A Master’s degree or professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
- Excellent Excel and financial forecasting/planning skills.
- Proven experience in financial planning and analysis with previous experience overseeing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting.
- A solid understanding of financial software and systems.
- Ability to strategise and solve problems.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Tech-savvy – familiar with financial tools and cloud-based finance systems.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Salary - £80,000 - £90,000 - depending on experience (+ bonus).
Flexible working patterns will be considered.
